Vice President’s Report

The Women's Industry Network Seafood Community gathered together for their AGM in Darwin, with enthusiasm and energy their meeting successfully reinforced their annual agenda and elected their committee for the 2010-2011.  Welcome aboard to everyone.  There is a challenging year ahead for us all. The fishing Industry must be vocal, united and communicating across Australia together with positive energy and informative information.

It was a pleasure to have our editor at the Annual meeting, and we look forward to the communication opportunities that this offers the organisation.

The Election of Office Bearers took place at the AGM with all current committee members being re-elected with the exception of Donna Wells from New Zealand did not seek re-election. Kylie Paulsen formally thanked Donna for her efforts and contributions over the past four years. The Directors are as follows: 

  • ACT: Kylie Paulsen (President)
  • NSW: Mary Howard (Vice President)
  • QLD: Anne Whalley (Administration Officer/Treasurer)
  • SA : Jean Cannon
  • NT: Julii Tyson (Executive)
  • Vic: Maria Manias
  • WA: Leonie Noble (Executive Officer)
  • Tas: Fiona Ewing
  • Director at Large: Jenny Shaw and Janet Howieson (Secretary).

One Director at Large vacancy is available and will be put out to the general membership with nomination forms to be sent out to the members with the Annual Report.
